Packaging design is key
Optimizing every aspect of the box to ensure a customer-friendly return policy is crucial. It starts by designing e-commerce packaging that is perfectly adapted for returns. This makes it easy for customers to use the original packaging when returning a product. Packaging for e-commerce therefore needs to be easy to open in a way that does not damage the packaging – enabling it to be reused. Tear strips – often used for the ‘first opening’ – are useful in this respect. Packaging then needs to be easily resealable using double-sided closing tape.
