Mechanic day-shift

VPK Group produces cardboard packaging and paper based on recycled fibers. This sustainable packaging is developed tailored to the customer. VPK Paper is a separate business unit within VPK Group. This business unit manufactures some 530,000 tons of paper for packaging purposes each year from 100% recycled paper and cardboard and has 3 paper machines in Oudegem (Dendermonde).

Function

As a maintenance technician you are responsible for checking, repairing and maintaining the mechanical installations. You work from our paper factory in Dendermonde. Together with your colleagues you are responsible for the following tasks:

• You analyze the problems and take action to solve the problem as soon as possible. This includes (dis)assembly of mechanical parts, testing the proper functioning of parts.
• You make inspection rounds and look for mechanical errors.
• If necessary, you support the shift electrician in performing electrical work.

Profile

• You have an A2 diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.
• Experience in mechanics of industrial installations is a big plus.
• You are inquisitive and flexible and show great interest in the paper industry.
