From American box to wrap-around

Alna experience remarkable reduction in truck deliveries to wholesalers

Amongst other products, Alna Margarinfabrik AS of Norway produces tubs of potato salad: around half a million per year. Traditionally these have been packaged in a typical folded cardboard carton. Following investment in the machines and discussions with Peterson Packaging, they are now packed in wrap-around cartons.

This has led to savings in material as well as more optimal transport, specifically:

  • Less cardboard consumption
  • More product tubs per box
  • More boxes per pallet
  • Fewer pallets to transport
  • Fewer truck deliveries from both Peterson to Alna and from Alna to the wholesalers.
