The second EFTA Benelux Flexo Awards were held last week in Antwerp, with companies working in flexo printing competing for Gold, Silver and Bronze in ten different categories. This year a distinction was made between coated and uncoated in the corrugated post print category, and VPK won Gold in both categories: for an American box developed for the well-known beer brand, Leffe; and for a tray developed for Natra, producer of chocolate and cacao products. It even managed to win Gold and Bronze in the uncoated category.

BU Manager Patrick Leclercq: ‘The fact that we won top prize in both categories is great recognition of all our teams’ hard work, and in particular for the fast start-up of our latest case maker, which we used to produce 12,000 boxes per hour for Leffe.’


The European Flexographic Technical Association Benelux, or EFTA for short, is the trade association for companies and suppliers active in flexographic printing, with a European network of sister organisations such as EFIA in the UK and ATF Flexo in France.

Sister brand Rigid also won an award for flexo printing at the annual EFIA awards in Birmingham earlier this year.
