Rigid has won a coveted European Flexographic Industry Association (EFIA) award for its printing capabilities. The company achieved Gold in the Corrugated Folder Gluer Uncoated category for its Nambarrie Tea Bag Box.
This is the third year running that Rigid has achieved a win at the EFIA awards for its excellent print techniques. The Nambarrie box showcases Rigid's excellent flexo printing capabilities. Vibrant shades of reds and oranges bring to life the brand and the colour and tones of the popular hot beverage.
Rigid's flexo capabilities on its Bobst at its Desborough site pushed boundaries with this pack.
The finished result of bright bold reds, orange and yellow tones reflects the brand's core values and the 'brightness and boldness' of the tea.
The printing brings alive the stunning illustrations of Belfast city centre (where Nambarrie was first launched in 1860) surrounded by the Northern Irish countryside. Designed to reflect sunrise and sunset, Rigid's high quality flexo techniques brings out a 'nostalgic' feel to the pack.
“This is a great result for us and Nambarrie and shows what we can achieve on our state of the art flexo converting equipment,” says Julian Freeman, Sales & Marketing Director. “I’d like to extend a special congratulations to the Bobst crews, who really are getting the most out of the machine, and enabling Rigid to win such prestigious awards.”
